The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak is expected to impact the economy, particularly the transport and tourism sectors.

This will add to uncertainties about the job and economy.

The Government will provide targeted support to the sectors directly affected, including a package of measures for both companies and workers.

This would include

- Supporting firms by addressing their short-term cash flow needs
- Helping firms retain and train their workers during this period

The full details of the relief measures will be announced at Budget 2020, on 18 Feb.
